Orlando Tops for Foreign Investment
Foreign investors poured more than $120 million into Central Florida real estate from January through June of this year, making the Orlando area the top market for foreign investment in Florida and the 19th-largest market in the United States, according to a report from Real Capital Analytics, a New York–based real estate research firm.
That ranking is up from the Orlando metro area’s spot in 2006, when foreign investors spent $54 million during the same period, making it last year’s 27th-largest metropolitan market for foreign investors.
In 2004, foreign investors spent a record $222 million on Orlando real estate, making it that year’s 15th-largest U.S. market for foreign investors, according to the report.
