What is GARD?

Great American Realtor Day (GARD) is held during Florida's Legislative session in Tallahassee.  Realtors visit the Capitol to meet with Legislators on pending real estate legislation.  GARD was held on March 19, 2014.  Check back for the 2015 date.

Key Contacts

Key Contacts are a direct link to your local Legislator and Legislative visits are scheduled by local Association Key Contacts.

Transportation to Tallahassee

Florida Realtors will once again supplement Association transportation costs.  If your Association chartered a bus to bring members to GARD, Florida Realtors will reimburse up to $500 of your Association's bus expense.  Download the Transportation Reimbursement Form.

Briefings

On Friday, March 14, 2014, the Florida Realtors Office of Public Policy provided a Legislative briefing webinar.  Associations were encouraged to hold a "Brown Bag Briefing" at their Association office for members to join each other for lunch to watch the briefing.  Florida Realtors will reimburse up to $250 for Association lunch expenses.  Please use the Brown Bag Briefing Reimbursement Form.  The briefing was taped and is available to view now.  Watch the Pre-GARD Legislative Briefing
