Crist, Martinez thank Realtors in Tallahassee

Two Florida political heavyweights, Gov. Charlie Crist and Sen. Mel Martinez (R-Fla.), recognized Realtors for their hard work and commitment to promote homeownership during Great American Realtor Days in Tallahassee on March 26.  

Gov. Crist thanked Realtors for their efforts to pass Amendment 1 in January. “You were a catalyst in helping it get passed,” Crist told the crowd of nearly 1,000 Realtors from across the state. He also offered tips to help homeowners lower their property insurance rates.

Sen. Martinez’s message echoed statements from the governor when he said: “The dream of homeownership is alive and well. Thank you and keep it up.” Martinez also addressed the mortgage foreclosure issue and the need to modernize the Federal Housing Administration to be more competitive in the marketplace.
