We need to do something about the short sale crisis

I agree with the comments made by Mark Dubin in an earlier letter (http://www.floridarealtors.org/NewsAndEvents/article.cfm?id=222822). The financial institutions and their poor judgment in lending practices were largely responsible for taking us to where we are now.

Yet they refuse to finance the resources required to clean up this mess, preferring instead to concentrate on building their balance sheets, which increases their share value and ultimately the bonuses paid to senior executives.

Meanwhile millions of working Americans suffer. Surely, it is time this industry started to fight back by putting pressure on the legislators to ensure the financial institutions clean up the mess they created.
