Simple things make listings appealing

VISTA, Calif. – Dec. 5, 2012 –Realtor Cristine Clark of Vista, Calif., has sold more than 3,000 houses, or “one home every three days since 1997.”

Clark believes that part of a listing agent’s job is to recommend subtle changes that “bring to life” a home’s interior. Among her suggestions for clients getting ready to sell is to clear the entryway of any and all clutter.

Another good rule of thumb is to buy matching, new hand towels for the guest bathroom and the kitchen.

She adds, “A clean, festive, simple centerpiece on the dining room table is enough. The model homes for sale often have dinnerware, cloth napkins, and wine glasses on the tables.”

Finally, she says that cleaning everything off the kitchen table, end tables and coffee tables is an easy de-cluttering rule.
