Lean on affiliates for website, Facebook content

NEW YORK – Feb. 20, 2013 – Real estate agents often don’t have time to make daily Facebook posts or manage their social media presence, and if they blog or have a website, they run out of topics.

However, they don’t have to do it all alone. They can depend on affiliate partners for content.

They should meet with representatives from their home warranty, mortgage, title, escrow and other affiliates, and emphasize how working together on social media will result in success for everyone.

Each affiliate could supply one relevant piece of information each week, indicating why the piece is relevant.

However, rather than simply post the pieces as they come in, agents should add their opinions and perspective as the local real estate expert because followers care what they think. Content should be conversation-friendly and feature a clear call to action at the end.
