It’s not tough to get good leads from social media

NEW YORK – Jan. 15, 2014 – It can be challenging for real estate agents to quantify leads generated through social media, but you can take advantage of existing relationships to produce leads if you use the right strategy.

First, set up Google Alerts using search terms like “merger” or “corporate relocation.” Google Alerts will then send emails about web postings that recently include those words – an alert to potential buyers and sellers in the area.

Also, use LinkedIn’s search tool to determine how many second-degree connections a nearby company has. Once second-degree connections are found, inform the nearby company that you would love to be introduced to people at the secondary company who may need a Realtor’s services due to a merger or relocation.

Finally, search for people and friends of people by employer using Facebook; but rather than send a friend request to these individuals that could get turned down, try to leverage your existing relationships to secure an introduction.
