Recognize these passwords? Stop using them
NEW YORK – Jan. 26, 2016 – Real estate professionals must keep clients' personal information stored securely, and the first line of defense against hackers is a strong password that's hard to crack. But not all agents use passwords that can stand up to increasing cyber-security threats.
Since 2013, the two worst passwords to protect private information are "123456" and "password," according to SplashData, a security solutions provider that releases an annual list of the most commonly used passwords on the Internet. As a result, those passwords are often the first ones that cyber criminals try.
