Association disclosure gives us more credibility Association disclosure gives us more credibility Editor: Just today I received a call from a client who closed on a townhouse less than a month ago. According to the MLS listing HOA fees were to be $225 per month. He just received a second HOA booklet asking for an additional $460 per quarter. I was never informed, and therefore I could not have passed the information on to the buyer. I just lost credibility in his eyes. I completely agree with the new disclosure. I would like to see that all HOAs be mandated to publish the bylaws on the Internet, or in the county Web site, including an example of what a typical buyer for the community would be paying.
