WOMEN GET REAL Swanepoel Trends Report 2008 indicates that women have achieved executive level positions in real estate companies in recent years. According to Stefan Swanepoel, “One need only look back a decade or two to see that very few of the top two positions in a national real estate company have been held by women. But 2007 paints a very different picture, and one I am positive will continue to develop in the years ahead.” Among the women who made the list are Keller Williams Real Estate President Mo Anderson, Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate CEO Sherry Chris, Howard Hanna Real Estate President Helen Hanna Casey, National Association of Realtors general counsel Laurie Janick, and NAR 2007 President Pat Combs. According to Combs, “Women are more confident and financially savvy than every before.” Approximately 65 percent of real estate agents are women, according to NAR’s member profile.
