I SEE Online listings generate more interest when accompanied by at least one photo, according to a recent study of more than 100,000 property listings in the United States and the world by Point2Agent. The research found that listings with at least 21 photos saw 55 times more detailed views and 27 times more buyer interest than listings without photos – and three times more detailed views, two times more buyer interest, and two times more leads than listings with only one photo. However, at some point, “more” is not necessarily better. “Rather than doing a three- or four-minute movie or virtual tour, we have found that the brain can absorb about five photos in 30 seconds or nine photos in 60 seconds,” says RealEstateShows.com CEO Jeff Turner. “If you create a video that is longer than 30 to 60 seconds and that is packed full of pictures, you will exceed the amount that the brain can absorb.” Source: Inman News (07/11/08) Ross, Bernice © Copyright 2008 INFORMATION, INC.
