ONLINE MARKETING TIPS

Real estate professionals should understand the different ways potential clients view traditional versus online marketing, according to Realestatecoach.com CEO Bernice Ross. While the conventional approach to property marketing focuses on buyers who are interested in purchasing right now, Web marketing should appeal to buyers who are a year to 18 months away from actually making a purchase. Thus, agents with an online presence should ensure they are reaching out to prospects regularly. They can offer RSS feeds to their blogs or take advantage of “profile marketing” on Trulia or Zillow, which involves answering a couple questions each week that are displayed under their profiles. “Frequently Asked First-Time Buyer Questions” pages, mortgage calculators and neighborhood information on their Web sites are also useful in attracting prospects.
