BAND TOGETHER TO SAVE MONEY A growing number of real estate associates form teams to help them ride out the housing downturn. The team approach saves money, as they use a single Web site and share marketing and advertising. It also saves time, especially since a large supply of homes on the market means buyers tour more properties before making a decision. Real estate teams even offer flexible scheduling – a bonus for associates working second jobs in another field to pay the bills. Furthermore, clients benefit from the wide array of skills available to them through multiple associates, with one professional specializing perhaps in negotiations and another in staging. However, Scott Sosso of Prudential Palms Realty underscores the importance of compatibility in forming teams, noting that problems arise when practitioners don’t work well together.
