For additional information, the Florida Division of Emergency Management's website, www.floridadisaster.org
, offers Floridians great resources to prepare for and to protect their homes, families and businesses in advance of a natural disaster.
Florida Realtors, along with an Association Executives Council task force, compiled a detailed Hurricane Preparation and Recovery Plan after four hurricanes struck the state in 2004. These suggestions help you plan before hurricane season, once the storm hits and how to recover afterward.
Request for assistance
Each request for assistance must include the completion of an official Florida Realtors Disaster Relief Fund request form.
Or, contact your local Board/Association office or Florida Realtors district vice president. Fill the form out, attach all of the requested documentation, then return it to the address found on the application form. If you have questions, please call 866.829.1439 or 407.587.1496.
