Mandatory Code of Ethics Training

Realtors are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours and 30 minutes of instructional time within two-year cycles. The training must meet NAR's specific learning objectives and criteria.

A new two-year cycle began January 1, 2017. The deadline for this cycle is December 31, 2018.

Training may be completed through local Realtor Associations or through another method, such as home study, correspondence, classroom courses or online courses.

Tracking and uploading your attendance in a Code of Ethics program is handled by your local Board or Association.  Failure to meet the mandate is a violation of your membership requirements and will result in suspension of membership until the requirement is met or until membership is automatically terminated.

Local Boards and Associations determine which types of educational formats are acceptable for taking the mandated Realtor Code of Ethics training. Please check with your local Board or Association for specific requirements.

Also, check out the Florida Realtors online Education Calendar to see where Code of Ethics classes are being offered statewide.
