Florida's economy and housing market have been very active and so has the Florida Realtors Research Department. In this meeting, Chief Economist Dr. Brad O'Connor will update the committee on the status of several ongoing projects and will share insights into how he and his team have been tracking the economy and real estate market in these turbulent times. Research staff will also be on hand to discuss progress on the association's new interactive data tool, SunStats, and additional research goals will be discussed. Economist & Director of Economic Development Jennifer Quinn will provide a sneak preview of the results from the recent Leadership in Real Estate Survey.
Join Chair Ines-Hegedus Garcia and Vice Chair Jason Jakus in welcoming presenter Jeff Turner, Entrepreneur in Residence with Second City Ventures, specializing in helping technology startups navigate the complexities of the North American real estate market. Jeff is an internationally-recognized speaker on technology trends and human behavior. Second City Ventures, creator of technology growth accelerator REACH, is a strategic technology investment fund backed by the National Association of Realtors. Next to present will be CEO of Ylopo, Howard Tager, an entrepreneur, investor, and executive with a successful track record in real estate technology, digital marketing, and investment. Howard will speak about Ylopo, a 2020 REACH company and next generation digital marketing technology which provides end-to-end, cross platform, online marketing solutions for the real estate industry.

Steve co-authored four books on the valuation of residential real estate brokerages: co-authored "Game Plan," about the past and future of residential brokerages, and co-authored "Game Changers: The Unfounded Fears and Future Prosperity of the Residential Real Estate Business." "Real Trends" provides some of the most enlightening research available in the industry. On target with the key issues, Steve and his team provide the critical data and insight on market trends imperative to real estate pros.
Join us for a discussion and presentation on difficult conversations leaders have. She will present a summary of The Umbrella Effect, Building an Unstoppable, Inclusive Culture. This fast-paced session will provide practical steps to make difficult conversations more comfortable. Sher will provide clear examples and simple, immediate tools you can use to create an unstoppable, inclusive culture in your business, community, and daily life.
The Public Policy Committee evaluates policy recommendations from the twelve issue-specific think tank breakout groups. This committee refines policy initiatives and legislative issues as they affect the real estate profession and private property rights.
Attend this meeting to hear updates from MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) Global Partners along with the announcement of Florida Realtors newest Global Business Partner. Also, the first lapel pins for Global Business Members and Partners will be unveiled.
This forum will provide an opportunity for members to hear from Secretary candidates who wish to speak. This forum will not be a substitute for contested-race candidate remarks at the Friday, August 28 Board meeting.
