Simple, Thrifty Ways to Generate More Google Leads
What traits does Google favor in search rankings? It’s a secret – but successful websites have many things in common, such as names and addresses on the home page.
SAN FRANCISCO – Agents can take several steps to ensure their website ranks higher on Google. A new white paper from Placester, for example, suggests that agents include their city, state and ZIP code on the front page of their website.
Also important: Make sure their Google profile is complete and up to date. This includes checking details such as their exact location on the map, opening hours, website URL, telephone number, business description photos, and categories of real estate they serve (residential, investment, or commercial).
Agents also need to take advantage of long-tail search strategies, which includes creating a separate page specific to their market niche with its own URL. Examples include HorseshoeBayHomes.com and LiveInCherryCreek80126.com. These pages can be stand-alone websites or added as another landing page on the existing site.
Agents must also make sure their website is mobile friendly and loads quickly.
Placester says agents seeking better results should add “interesting, informative, helpful content” to their site to inform and attract potential customers – and write a strong headline. The American Marketing Institute’s Headline Analyzer evaluates headlines to gauge their emotional appeal, while CoSchedule evaluates the headline’s search engine optimization.
Finally, agents should use video testimonials and add featured snippets, such as data, from an external website. They should also tag videos and other posts with tools like Keywords Everywhere.
