However, Melanie was released from the hospital in early June and is making a healthy recovery. I want to thank president Grooms and the entire leadership team for seeing a leader in me and trusting me to be a part of shaping the future of Florida Realtors. Thank you to my home board, the Spacecoast Association and our CEO Leah Selig and team for always, always making me look amazing. MEGAN directly addresses camera: Well congratulations again Michael and take care. Swell Music. Title Graphic of next award to be presented. MEGAN: And finally, overachiever of the year, also known as your 2020 . . . Realtor of the Year. Ready for this? Okay, here we go. He was his local board’s president in 2008. He’s earned the Rising Star Award and multiple Presidential Awards. He was local Realtor of the year in 2010. Although he’s gone on to lead at the state and national levels, he continues to give back to his local board inspiring CURRENT leaders, lifting up FUTURE leaders, while also supporting and appreciating the staff. Whenever they ask, he’s there with an emphatic YES! In his hometown he’s served on the Affordable Housing Committee, Water Advisory Board, Flood Plane Management Committee and with Habitat for Humanity. He also has a great passion for supporting the American Heart Association. At the STATE level, he has served on 54 committees, PAGs and subcommittees. He’s been a Key Contact for Senators and Representatives. In 2010 he was named Associate Real-tor of the Year by, you guessed it, Florida Realtors. And . . . he inspired and lead the largest trade mission in Florida Real-tors history with more than 400 Realtor members traveling to Dubai. At the NATIONAL level, he’s the Chair this year of NAR’s Commitment to Excellence Committee. Under his guidance, the C-2-E-X program has reached more than 54,000 participants. For nearly 15 years, he’s served the National Association of Realtors in a multitude of roles. And by a multitude, ladies and gentlemen, we’re talking about more then FIFTY leadership positions. I’m not really sure how he has time to sell houses. I wonder of FIFTY is some kind of record. And speaking of records, in August of 2019, he assembled 314 Florida Realtors to set a Guinness World Record for the largest human image of a key. Cut to Motion graphic of Winners image, name, local board, and the category of the award he/she has won. Your Real-tor of the Year, without further adieu, from the Broward, Palm Beaches and St. Lucie Real-tors, 2019 Florida Realtors President, Eric Sain! Congratulations Eric. Cut to Eric Sain from inside his home. ERIC SAIN directly addresses camera: Wow! Thank you Megan. And thank you Florida Realtors. This is such an honor to be recognized for doing something that I love to do with a group of people that I admire. Many great minds have collaborated to build this solid institution that we call Florida Realtors and I respect the actions that have made us stronger. It has truly been a privilege representing you. Thank you for giving your time and talents, expressing your ideas, exploring your interests and bringing real opportunities to Florida Realtor Nation. Last year was the shortest, yet longest year of my life. I’m sure Barry’s thinking the same thing right about now. But I have to thank my support system back home, A.K.A. the Sholar, who helped keep me sane, as Florida Realtors accomplished great things. You all had the power and boy did you use it for good. Your early adoption of the Commitment to Excellence platform shows that you understand the importance of professionalism, ethics and treating each other fairly in business. We spread the word internationally that Florida Realtors is open to an exchange of ideas that promote homeownership and Florida real estate around the globe. We took our voices from our local associations to Tallahassee and all the way to Washington, D.C. to fight for the rights of all property owners and you delivered every time. Your voices were loud and strong and inspiring. I think last year helped prepare us for exactly where we are at this moment in time. Don’t forget what we learned, keep the moral up. Let’s continue to pick leaders of leaders while we remember where we’ve been, stay true to where we are, and steadfast in striving for higher standards for our future. Always remember that you have the power to continue to reshape our industry. This 2020 Leadership Team is taking on unforeseen challenges and continues to bring us out on top. That’s great leadership. Our Florida Realtor Nation is Better, Faster and Stronger than before. Thank you again for this Realtor of the Year Award. I am filled with gratitude. You have made my decade. Thank you so much. MEGAN: Well done sir. All the best! Dissolve to Motion Graphic of a scrolling list – recap of all the categories and this year’s winners.
