Take 5 Marketing Magic With Kristin Vogt TRT: 3 minutes 42 seconds Video Transcription Kristin Vogt directly addresses camera: Looking to add some pop to your marketing? I've got some great ideas that don't cost a fortune. I'm Kristin Vogt, a sales associate with Coldwell Banker Realty in Lake Mary. Let's take five minutes to talk about ways you can build relationships with fun events and turn friends into clients. I've been in real estate for 10 years but joined Coldwell Banker in 2018. As a single mom of two girls, success isn't optional. The truth is, I'm a Disney kid. I even went through the Disney Institute, which trains business people how to offer Disney magic to their businesses. I truly care about people and want to bring some magic to their lives and, in return, they will see my contributions to the real estate industry and will use me to buy or sell their home. Here are some of the promotions I've done in the past. When I first joined Coldwell Banker, I did a Facebook Live video in front of our office, which is next door to a frozen yogurt store. I announced my affiliation with my new company and told people watching to come by to visit me and I'll buy them a frozen yogurt. I ended up buying about 100 frozen yogurts that day and took the opportunity to engage with those people in a friendly way. It cost me $400 and, most importantly, it was fun. I made some new friends that day - friends who did or will become clients. I want to be that person who brings a little more to real estate. At the beginning of my career, I invested in Happy Birthday yard signs. Anyone who was in my sphere of influence who had a birthday, I would deliver the signs to their house at night before the big day. I included my branding and left a card that said, “From Your Favorite Realtor® Kristin Vogt.” I still do that because I want people to feel special and recognized. In a similar vein, I do a lot of promotions around holidays and seasons. For example, the day Starbucks starts serving pumpkin spice lattes, I bought 100 $5 gift cards and stood in the drive-through line at my local Starbucks handing them out. I gave away 100 cards in an hour and a half. I talked to people and told them to have a coffee on me as I handed them a paper coffee cup with my card and the gift card. Believe me, it's not easy standing there for a few hours putting yourself out. At first, I felt a little stupid, but it's an inexpensive promotion that puts a smile on people's faces. I spent $500 and got three deals because of it. During Coronavirus, I dropped off toilet paper, face masks and Corona beer baskets to let people know I was there to help, even if it wasn't in a real estate capacity. At Easter, I egg people's houses. This is one promotion I include my girls in. We fill up plastic Easter eggs and leave them all over the yards of about 50 houses in my sphere. I leave a sign that says, "You've been egged by your favorite real estate agent" and include my branding and contact info on the sign. One of my favorite promotions is when I go with my girls Grinching at Christmas. My girls and I love the Grinch. I have a super silly Grinch head and the girls dress up like Cindy Lou Who from Whoville. We'll make up personalized baskets with the Grinch movie, stuffed animals or Grinch colored baking goods. We ring the doorbell and run away while leaving the basket on the doorstep. Those are just a few of the promotions I do. Relationships are at the base of everything I do. People work with people they like. So, if you're genuine and nurture relationships, surprise people with thoughtfulness and provide value, you can be the agent of choice to everyone you meet.
