Cheryl Lambert Bio Video Featuring Margy Grant TRT 3 minutes 1 second Video Description Margy Grant, in studio, with Florida Realtors logo behind her, directly addresses camera: We thought we’d start with a few words about your 2021 President. So many people have no idea how long Cheryl has volunteered in our industry. Even before she held a leadership role at her local association, she spearheaded housing opportunity activities that culminated in her getting involved with the Realtor Association of Citrus County. Dissolve to: Narrator, on camera, outdoors, speaks directly to camera while walking slowly towards camera: Cheryl Lambert’s passion for housing, especially for those in lower income brackets, always shines through. Recently she received an award acknowledging her years of work for the homeless. Many people don’t know that when Cheryl encounters someone experiencing homelessness, she will take the time, she'll call a local organization to see if they can help. She believes EVERYONE deserves that phone call and the follow up because everybody, EVERYONE deserves a safe place to call home. As a local leader Cheryl worked to create a team among her fellow officers. She’s a true believer in helping those who follow you do an even BETTER job than you did.  She is really all about the mission, the members and the public as a whole, so anyway, she... To help those in need of housing she started a non-profit and it was simply named HOME.  And what she did was gather some of these very highly skilled, and knowledgeable industry leaders to help advance that cause.  I can share a story with you, following Hurricane Michael, HOME dispatched volunteers to the Panhandle area, which was so badly affected of course. And at one point there was this little boy, who came from a family, who had lost the roof of their home. And this little boy told the HOME representative, that he had to be home by Christmas because that, is where Santa would be looking for him.  HOME donated the funds and the labor, and they got that roof fixed. And that little boy was where he NEEDED to be on Christmas Eve . . .  he was home. And I’ll tell you something else too, everybody knows, it’s no secret, Affordable Housing is filled with red tape, and rules, and regulations, and statutes, so… Cheryl, about four years ago actually, jumped into a state task force to help develop some proposals that would improve that process, that system. Three months ago the Governor signed those changes into law. Tim Weisheyer directly addresses camera: THAT is the difference between Cheryl and so many. Cheryl never gives up. She is a fighter on SEVERAL levels. Still a fierce advocate for others . . . Gia Arvin directly addresses camera: . . . but also in a PERSONAL fight for the use of her left hand and to fully recover from the physical impacts of a major stroke.  Mike McGraw directly addresses camera: She fights hard to get better, working three days a week at physical therapy, while remaining a fierce advocate for Realtors and families. Christina Pappas directly address camera: It’s JUST not in her to quit. Cheryl Lambert . . . will NEVER give up. Fade to black.
