Why AI Marketing Strategies Need a Human Touch

AI can boost efficiency, but businesses still need people to personalize outreach and close deals. Blending AI insights with human expertise delivers better results.

NEW YORK – Artificial intelligence (AI) tools are not the answer to every business problem and human interventions are critical to success, Forbes writer David Prosser said.

For example, AI tools can leverage data within CRM systems and analyze the information to find the best customer prospects. However, just having a list of potential customers, does not automatically translate into sales without human intervention.

Crafting personalized content that sales staff can use to reach a target audience can improve business success. OneShot.ai founder and CEO Gautam Rishi said, "AI gets you 70% of the way there. To get all the way, you need to combine AI with the right humans at the right time."

A recent report found that some sales are based on AI and automation tools at 75% of companies, but businesses are likely to achieve disappointing results if they rely solely on AI, according to Rishi.

AI efficiency and productivity, he says, should be combined with human insight and interactions. Karl May, the founder of networking business Join Digital, said the blended approach has been far more effective. Businesses need to identify where AI can deliver the best results and leverage human interaction and expertise where it is most valuable to generate business success.
