Using AI Without Losing the Human Touch

AI can handle routine tasks for agents, creating more time for pricing, negotiations and customer care. Agents must still verify information and personalize messaging.

NEW YORK – Artificial intelligence (AI) is already woven into many of the tools real estate agents use daily, from CRMs and email platforms to marketing and transaction software, making it less of a novelty and more of a quiet efficiency layer.

Today, agents are finding the most value when AI is used in specific ways:

  • Handling routine tasks such as drafting listing descriptions, organizing follow-ups or summarizing market information, allowing more time for client-facing work.
  • Verifying data, applying market context and guiding customers through pricing, negotiations and emotional decision-making.
  • Improving customer communications to answer basic questions.

At the same time, agents should be cautious about setting clear boundaries for AI use:

  • Make sure all AI-produced information is accurate. Check out all the sources AI used, verify the facts and be sure it reflects real-time market conditions.
  • Edit AI information so it sounds genuine, rather than computer generated.
  • Include the agent’s professional voice and perspective.

“AI can be a powerful addition to an agent’s tech toolkit, but it delivers the best results when paired with human judgment, local knowledge, and a client-first mindset. By using AI to streamline writing, research, and routine communication and refining every draft with your expertise, you can save time without losing the personal touch that sets your service apart,” Realtors.com said.
