Realtors Rally for Key 2026 Real Estate Policies

Great American Realtors Days begins today, bringing members to Tallahassee to spotlight housing, property rights and tax issues for the 2026 session.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Realtors® from across Florida are at the state Capitol this week for Great American Realtors Days, delivering a clear message to lawmakers as the 2026 session opens: expand housing options, continue to fund successful homebuying and home hardening programs, keep property-insurance markets steady and protect homeowner rights.

GARD, running Jan. 20–22, brings Florida Realtors® members together for policy briefings, strategy discussions and face-to-face meetings with legislators. The annual event centers on the housing, tax, property rights, environmental and insurance issues shaping Florida’s real estate market and the proposals members say warrant close attention as bills begin moving through the legislative process.

Throughout the session, Florida Realtors will be monitoring legislation tied to housing, property taxes, insurance, homeowner protections, community standards and professional regulation. These issues reflect ongoing concerns for buyers, sellers and property owners statewide and will remain a focus as lawmakers debate policy changes in Tallahassee. The full legislative session is scheduled to end on March 13.

Below are the key priorities Florida Realtors will be focused on this session. Download or print the graphic for a quick reference.
