Florida Realtors board approves 2027 budget, other priorities
Directors also elected association officers and NAR directors, approved 2027 standing committees and acted on several governance items at the annual business meeting.
Florida Realtors®’ Board of Directors approved the association’s 2027 budget, backed several public policy priorities and elected officers and National Association of Realtors® directors during its annual business meeting Sunday.
The Aug. 23 meeting, held at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando and via Zoom, drew 690 directors.
The board voted on several policy motions, which included the association's support of Amendment 3. The amendment aims to provide property tax relief for Floridians and is scheduled to appear on the Novemeber 2026 ballot.
Under Treasurer Cyndee Haydon’s report, directors approved Florida Realtors’ 2027 budget. Haydon also reported that paid membership totaled 215,490 through the end of July.
2027 leadership elected
The board elected Haydon as vice president, Fernando Arencibia Jr. as treasurer and Karen Johnson as secretary.
Directors also elected National Association of Realtors® directors, including eight state-allocated directors serving three-year terms: Patti Ketcham, Carlos Gutierrez, Carlos Melendez, Stacy Stahl, Hollie Billero Buldo, Diana Galavis, Chris Atwell and Mike McGraw.
Eight NAR director alternates were elected to one-year terms: LaurieAnne Minoff, Stas Matias, Kerry Ramage, Ed Boateng, Debi Reynolds, Rose Kemp, Jackie Griffin and Skip Kitchen.
President Chuck Bonfiglio Jr. introduced Florida Realtors’ 2027 Leadership Team during the meeting.
Directors also approved Florida Realtors’ standing committees for 2027 and adopted a general policy amendment presented by the Leadership Team.
In other business, the board approved moving MIAMI REALTORS + RWorld (which was previously MIAMI Association of REALTORS, Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors, and Martin County Realtors of the Treasure Coast) from D4 and D3 to D11.
Bonfiglio also provided directors with an update on Florida Realtors’ new My Membership dashboard and encouraged members to update their profiles.
CEO Margy Grant delivered the State of the Association report, and directors received updates on Florida Realtors’ charitable efforts and foundations, including Homeownership for All, Silent Angels, the Florida Realtors Education Foundation and the Disaster Relief Fund.
