Fourth-quarter habits can build 2027 business

Consistent outreach, personal follow-ups and year-end market updates can help real estate agents build momentum now and start 2027 with a stronger pipeline.

The fourth quarter can give agents an opportunity to build momentum for the following year while their competitors slow their activity.

Rather than introducing a long list of new strategies, agents can focus on a small number of consistent actions that generate conversations, such as reconnecting with past customers, meeting with prospects or hosting open houses.

Building connections becomes especially useful heading into the holidays, when thoughtful follow-up can keep agents top of mind with customers and referral sources.

By December, agents can begin sharing year-end market information and practical guidance for buyers or sellers considering a move in 2027. Scheduling January meetings before the year ends also can help agents avoid starting the new year without a pipeline.

Consistent outreach in October, November and December can carry business activity into the first quarter of the new year.
