Realtor® Jackie Griffin: Listening Is Her Superpower
COCOA BEACH, Fla. — On Florida’s Space Coast, buyers who tour with Jackie Griffin often hear a surprising promise: “We’ll see fewer than 10 homes – and you’ll feel like you could live in any one of them.”
It’s not bravado. It’s Griffin’s superpower at work: deep listening that simplifies decisions in a market full of oceanfront properties.
“I expect that when I put someone in my car, or in my building, and we spend time together, we’re going to figure out exactly what [they] want. And we will achieve that goal within that timeframe,” says Griffin.
Griffin is the broker/owner of Florida Lifestyle Realty in Cocoa Beach, a second.home and vacation market where the oceanfront and condo segments play by different rules than single-family.
She didn’t set out to sell real estate; a course “for personal knowledge” opened her eyes to housing’s outsized role in local, state and national economies. Curiosity led to her calling.
“I wanted to be a small part of a bigger picture,” she says, and she made the waterfront and condo ecosystems her specialty.
Ask what keeps her engaged, and she doesn’t cite price per square foot. She talks about the story behind the move for her customers. She helps translate what they imagine about their daily lives into spaces that fit how they live, not just where they live.
Griffin’s value proposition rests on experience, compassion and candor.
“If you struggle with the truth, I may not be your Realtor,” she says. Her direct, honest approach anchors pricing, timing and offer strategy. She stays in close contact with her customers, sets a mutually agreed timeline, and then executes against it.
Griffin serves as the current president of the Space Coast Association of Realtors® and is a director at both the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) and Florida Realtors®, where she’s active on multiple committees. Community investment is baked into her brokerage: A portion of every closing is donated to Housing for the Homeless, a nonprofit affordable-housing provider that serves veterans and families.
The firm has also “adopted” a local elementary school, supporting teachers with appreciation luncheons and delivering thousands of student essentials each year. When only four students applied for three space-camp scholarships, Griffin’s team sponsored the fourth child so no one was left behind. And she personally is a longtime member of the Aladdin Society, supporting the local playhouse and the arts.
Professionalism, to Griffin, is a practice, not a tagline. That’s why she earned the Florida Realtors® Board Certified Professional endorsement. The credential, she says, isn’t about letters after a name; it’s a promise of excellence that signals knowledge, integrity and trust to consumers who deserve a career professional, not a transactional mindset.
And while clients see the showings and negotiations, Griffin emphasizes the “invisible work”: traveling the country for education, serving on committees, and participating in events such as a symposium in Marco Island focused on legal changes, private property rights and homeownership.
On Florida’s Space Coast, Griffin helps her clients find the right place to call home – and the perfect launchpad for wherever life takes them next.
