FREC Extends Rule Allowing Online Real Estate Courses
Online real estate licensee courses have been extended to Dec. 31, 2020, since the pandemic continues to challenge the safety of in-person classes.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) held an emergency meeting last Tuesday and decided to approve a third emergency rule extending online real estate courses. The now-extended rule allows real estate courses to be completed online to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The latest extension runs to Dec. 31, 2020. The rule is expected to be in place early this week.
In addition to the courses, the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) also asked DBPR in July to create some kind of online test option to streamline the exam process for real estate licensees. As a result, Pearson Vue announced access to an online testing option called OnVUE.
Florida Realtors has a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the online testing posted on its website.
