Successful Websites Grab Visitors – Lots of Them

Strangers usually find websites by Googling questions. If they find the answer quickly on an agent’s website, they likely stick around. If not, they move on quickly.

NEW YORK – Real estate blogs and other websites present an important opportunity for agents to boost the number of visitors. If a new visitor shows up, agents need to nurture and help those qualified leads.

The most important website tool to have: It should enable visitors to instantly find what they want. Most new visitors arrive by way of a search engine like Google, and they’re looking for the answer to a question. If they find that answer quickly, they stay; if they don’t, they move on.

By using analytics tools, agents can outperform competitors on popular search engines. Start with a leading tool for monitoring website activity and visitor behavior – Google Analytics. The free, intuitive tool requires users to register for a Google Analytics account, upon which it provides a code that is copied onto the agents’ websites.

Google Analytics can now gather site data and provide useful information about performance. For instance, the “Bounce Rate” refers to how many visitors leave the site after seeing a page, and you want to keep that number as low as possible.

Another key tool is SEMrush, which lets users research competitors to tweak their content marketing strategy. With SEMrush, users can conduct keyword research to get more clicks on their content and track their competitors’ keywords. The platform can also run an SEO (search engine optimization) audit of a real estate blog, helping users find backlinking opportunities.

Another important tool is Mailchimp, an email marketing platform that helps agents reach their target audience. Email marketing remains one of the best ways to engage with people. The benefits of MailChimp include being able to see how many recipients opened sent emails, how many links were clicked, and how much revenue was generated from a specific email.
