WASHINGTON — Christine Hansen, Florida Realtors® 2018 president and the National Association of Realtors® 2025 first vice president, was elected NAR 2026 president-elect, positioning her for the presidency in 2027.

Two other prominent Realtors® in Florida – Tim Weisheyer and Ines Hegedus-Garcia – were named as NAR’s membership engagement liaison and NAR’s law & policy liaison, respectively. Weisheyer, 2025 Florida Realtors president, is the broker-owner of Dream Builders Realty and dbrCommercial Real Estate Services in Central Florida. Hegedus-Garcia, managing partner at Avanti Way Realty, was also inducted into the RPAC Hall of Fame. In addition, Charmaine Hickey of Lang Realty in Port St. Lucie, the current state liaison for Women’s Council of Realtors Florida, was elected national treasurer for the Women's Council of Realtors.

Hansen, broker-owner of Century 21 Hansen Realty in Fort Lauderdale, has been a Realtor for more than 35 years and served on more than 175 committee and task force posts at the national, state and local levels. She served as NAR Realtor Party Director in 2019 and NAR’s vice president of advocacy in 2020. Hansen is in the RPAC Hall of Fame and has been a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors since 2003.

"As a second-generation Realtor and a past president of Florida Realtors, I'm deeply honored to serve our incredible members as the 2026 NAR president-elect,” Hansen said. “This is a pivotal time for our industry-one where we must continue to champion homeownership, elevate our profession and be a strong, inclusive voice for all communities. Now more than ever, Realtors deserve to feel empowered, heard and proud of the vital role we play every day."
