Realtor® Hollie Billero Buldo: Building Dreams Through Relationships

VERO BEACH, Fla. — When Hollie Billero Buldo bought her first home at 23, she admits she was nervous. She had scraped together savings for a down payment and wondered if she was really ready.

“I was kind of on the edge of it – should I take the gamble or should I not?” she recalls. That leap of faith gave sparked a cycle of building equity, reinvesting, and ultimately creating the dream home she shares with her husband and children today. “We worked and earned that house through real estate,” she says. “I want young people to know: You can build your future this way too.”

That philosophy is the heartbeat of Billero & Billero Properties in Vero Beach, where she serves as managing broker. Real estate isn’t just her career; it’s her family’s legacy. Her parents remain active in the company, her brother is in the business, and her husband, a former teacher, joined her full-time four years ago. Together, they manage three offices, more than 40 agents, and a client roster built on trust, referrals, and community ties.

Billero Buldo never really considered any other path. As a child, she tagged along with her parents on appointments, open houses, and construction sites. “Every day was different, and I fell in love with that energy,” she says.

After a brief detour to New York for graduate school, she quickly realized her future was back in Florida. Nearly 19 years later, she’s still running at full speed. “I can’t stay stagnant. I love every aspect of this business, from managing the office to marketing to listing homes.”

Her work extends well beyond contracts and closings. Billero Buldo’s passion for giving back is evident in her longtime support of Habitat for Humanity. Her children join her at dedication ceremonies, just as her parents once included her.

She’s equally committed to the Healthy Start Coalition, inspired by her own son’s health challenges at birth. She even took to the dance floor for the organization’s “Dancing with the Stars” fundraiser, helping raise $500,000. “For me, it’s about babies and houses,” she says with a laugh. “Everyone deserves a healthy start and a home.”

Billero Buldo has also poured her energy into Realtor leadership. She served as president of her local board, district vice president for Florida Realtors®, and chaired the National Association of Realtors®’ Commitment to Excellence (C2X) program. Last year, she served as convention chair for Florida Realtors. She recently earned the state association’s Board Certified Professional endorsement, which she views less as a badge and more as a personal challenge. “It’s making me better, and if I’m better, my clients benefit too,” she says.

Ask about her superpower, and Billero Buldo promptly says: Building lasting relationships. Buyers and sellers become friends, sometimes through decades of life transitions, such as marriage, children, even divorce and reconciliation.

“It’s never just transactional,” she says. From sending personalized champagne bottles to dropping a handwritten note or a thoughtful gift, she finds small, creative ways to show clients they’re seen and valued. “They just want to be heard and know you care,” she says.

Real estate isn’t about sales volume or recognition for Billero Buldo. It’s about people, family, and the homes that anchor both. “I genuinely love this business,” she says simply. “It’s the only business I know – and the one I want to pass on.”
