13% of all U.S. Realtors call Florida Home
ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida Realtors has 187,000 members and the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) says that its membership just hit a record 1.41 million in October. That means more than 1 out of every 10 U.S. Realtors works in the Sunshine State.
NAR membership is up 2.2% from its pre-bust peak of 1.37 million in October 2006. Membership bottomed out at 963,455 in March 2012 in the wake of the financial crisis.
The biggest year-over-year membership growth rates were recorded in Georgia (6.82%), Idaho (6.63%), Alabama (6.1%), North Carolina (5.89%), Tennessee (5.22%), and Texas (5.12%). The biggest membership losses were in Delaware (-1.29%) and Wyoming (-0.13%).
Meanwhile, the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico, which is still struggling to recover from Hurricane Maria in 2017, saw its Realtor membership drop almost 13%.
