DeSantis Appoints New Condominium Ombudsman

Spencer Hennings will head the Office of the Condominium Ombudsman, a state-run agency that serves as a “neutral, informative and accessible resource.”

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – On July 2, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Spencer Hennings as Florida’s Condominium Ombudsman.

The Office of the Condominium Ombudsman was created to “improve the quality of life for Florida condominium owners through prompt, professional and courteous service as a neutral, informative and accessible resource.”

Hennings comes from Miami. He was an associate at Irons Law Group from 2019 to 2020, a real estate intern with Greenberg Traurig in 2009 and an associate attorney with Weitzner and Jonas from 2017 until 2018. He was a legal intern with the Eleventh Judicial Circuit’s State Attorney’s Office in 2017 and a judicial intern with the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida in 2016.

Hennings earned his bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Florida State University, and his juris doctorate and master’s in law in real property development from the University of Miami.
