Offer IDX on Your Biz Website? You Should

Buyers want a go-to website, and IDX allows individual Realtors to post MLS listings. It can also boost website status in search engines when listings get shared.

NEW YORK – Realtors can add an Internet Data Exchange (IDX) feed to their websites to strengthen prospective buyers’ ability to conduct online searches. IDX allows real estate agents to access listings directly from the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and display the information on their websites.

Through IDX, social media buttons encourage visitors to share listings, which helps the create backlinks that drive more organic traffic to the website. When a website visitor shares a listing, agents reach a larger number of buyers and prospects who have not yet heard about their brand.

An IDX can cover 99% of MLS listings with accurate and regularly updated property information. Once set up, the automated feed requires minimal effort on the agent’s side to keep listings updated, giving them more time to focus on building and nurturing relationships.

Real estate agent Will Rodgers says he benefited by using the Showcase IDX. He said, “Since switching to Showcase, my bounce rate is down 20%, time spent on my site has doubled, and most importantly I am getting four times more registrations on my site.”
