Fla.’s Projected 10-Year Growth? 2.5M People

The Fla. Legislature’s demographic office says that the state had 22.6M Floridians in April, and predicts it will have 25.1M by April 2032 – an almost 11% increase.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Many of the state’s homebuyers over the next decade will come from out of state. Newly updated estimates show Florida’s population increasing to more than 25 million people by 2032.

Here are population estimates for April 1 of each upcoming year:

  • 2023: 22,628,149
  • 2024: 22,947,140
  • 2025: 23,253,753
  • 2026: 23,551,278
  • 2027: 23,839,990
  • 2028: 24,119,106
  • 2029: 24,386,481
  • 2030: 24,641,880
  • 2031: 24,885,456
  • 2032: 25,116,599
