Panel discussion

Population Growth? Migration and Affordability - How Higher Costs Impact Retirees, Workforce and Businesses and Where They Live and Work
Panelists will discuss migration changes in Florida in the face of affordability. Namely, Florida is starting to lose its appeal among retirees due to the higher cost of housing and insurance. Retirees are still coming, but can they stay? Workers are coming because of a more robust and diverse economy, which is helping support the growth among working-age people, which hasn’t always been Florida’s story. Small business operators are facing how affordability is making it harder to find local people to work in our less affordable places. Come hear from thought leaders across industries to dive into these challenges and what they mean for Florida going forward.
