‘Home Town Takeover’ for Sebring
HGTV’s Ben and Erin Napier announced the town of Sebring will get a makeover and be the site for the third season of their spinoff show, “Home Town Takeover.”
SEBRING, Fla. – Ben and Erin Napier, hosts of the TV show “Home Town” on HGTV, will soon be bringing their small town makeover and renewal treatment to Florida.
The duo recently announced that Sebring, Florida, will be the site for Season 3 of the “Home Town Takeover,” which follows the Napiers and many of their friends and fellow HGTV stars as they redo small business, homes and other elements as part of their efforts to renew and revitalize small towns.
Located in Central Florida, Sebring is on the shore of Lake Jackson about 70 miles south of Orlando and about 70 miles southeast of Tampa. According to the U.S. Census, the town has an estimated population of 11,379, as of July 2022.
Beginning with “Home Town,” set in their town of Laurel, Mississippi, the husband-and-wife team have ample experience redoing old houses for new homeowners and reviving small towns. Most recently, they brought Fort Morgan, Colorado, back to life in the second season of “Home Town Takeover.”
However, their most successful whole-town reno to-date is Wetumpka, Alabama, which has become a full-fledged destination since it was the site selected for the original “Takeover” in 2020.
"What we've found is that people are not only coming to visit, but they're coming back and have been here two or three times,” said Shellie Whitfield, executive director of the Wetumpka Chamber of Commerce, during a recent HGTV interview. "They've fallen in love with the town since the show aired.”
