Agents can ease brokerage changes by setting priorities

Continuing to prospect, serve customers and learn new tools as needed can keep business on track while agents settle into a new firm.

Changing brokerages can leave agents juggling new systems and branding at the same time they are trying to maintain their existing business.

A smoother transition starts with identifying what needs immediate attention and learning new tools as they become relevant to current work. Agents should continue prospecting and serving customer instead of allowing training and administrative tasks to consume the day.

Meeting with a new manager can also help establish priorities and clarify which systems deserve attention first. Getting comfortable with a new customer relationship management (CRM) system is often especially important because it keeps client relationships, leads, and follow-up organized during the move.

The transition takes time, and the skills, relationships, and reputation agents have already built can provide a strong foundation as they settle into the new brokerage.
