Realtor® Michele Bailey: Creative Marketing Is Her Superpower

SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla. — During a broker tour at a tennis resort community, Michele Bailey heard the same line twice: “I haven’t been in here in years – I forgot how great it is.” That sparked a creative marketing idea for her real estate listings.

Within days, Bailey, Compass 30A founding agent and longtime Santa Rosa Beach local, turned a destination-wedding idea she’d seen on Instagram into a glossy “Passport to Tops’l”: a pocket-size booklet that highlights courts, pools, beach access, and the neighborhood’s vibe, with her two listings tucked neatly in back. It wasn’t just a flyer; it was an invitation to rediscover the beach and racquet resort.

Bailey is active on Florida’s Emerald Coast, where she specializes in resort and second-home sales for over a decade. Her business is equal parts marketing and relationship whisperer. She started as an assistant, quickly realized she was on the wrong side of the desk and returned to 30A determined to build a practice around service and smarts.

Today, she leads the new Bailey Advisory Group, a small, collaborative team – think coaching over rainmaking. “Licensure scratches the surface,” she says. “Education and how you use it, is what sets you apart.” Her mentoring style mirrors the industry rooms she’s sat in for years, including serving on Women’s Council of Realtors® and Florida Realtors® committees. There, she learned with brokers and team leaders.

Her superpower is creative marketing. Alongside the Tops’l passport, she created the “Beach Dwellers Guide,” an old-school foldout map with local “need-to-knows” from urgent care for “beach boo-boos” to must-try takeout, and a scannable playlist for cruising Scenic Highway 30A.

Online, she repackages the pieces as flipbooks, animations and social posts. Offline, the experience is tangible: chilled water, branded snack packs and thoughtful touches that say concierge without saying it.

That hospitality mindset threads into her value story. “Actions beat explanations,” she says. “If I elevate the experience, clients feel it, even if they can’t name the designations behind it.”

Her tagline, “30A: The Road to Life Reimagined,” has become a creative system, featuring bookmarks for little free libraries, water bottles, and snacks in treat bags. It’s playful but it also anchors the promise she makes in her business – and that’s clarity, delivering on expectations and straight talk when pricing or negotiations get hard.

Service, for Bailey, also lives beyond business. After losing her husband in 2021 to a rare salivary-gland cancer, she founded The Bailey Brigade. This local nonprofit partners with an oncologist to provide comfort backpacks for chemo patients, limited copay assistance and scholarships for students pursuing health sciences. “You don’t just take from an industry, or a community, that gives you so much,” she says.

That’s why the Florida Realtors Board Certified endorsement mattered, too. As a former court reporter, she watched clients seek out board-certified attorneys and wanted a similar, well-rounded benchmark in real estate. “It isn’t just a class. It’s leadership, education, production and how you show up for the profession,” she says. “Even if consumers don’t know every requirement, they feel the professionalism.”

Back at Tops’l, the “passport” did its job: it got agents looking up, looking around, and looking differently. That’s Bailey’s promise – to reframe the familiar, elevate the experience, and guide people and property to a life, reimagined, on 30A.
