Florida Realtors®: Be Prepared This Hurricane Season

ORLANDO, Fla. – Hurricane season started June 1 and lasts until Nov. 30, 2024. During this time, Floridians face an increased possibility of major storms and should take steps to help weather a severe storm. Forecasters expect this Atlantic hurricane season will be a busy one: Colorado State University researchers predict 23 named storms, with 11 strengthening into hurricanes – and five becoming major hurricanes that are Category 3 or higher.
